WOH - Ruston Lincoln Sopwith Camel
WOH - Ruston Lincoln Sopwith Camel -

This is the kit that started it all.

Modelled after B7380, this kit was the model that launched "Wings of Horus"

The real plane was produced in the Ruston Proctor works in Lincoln 1917. To celebrate the 1000th Camel built by the Ruston Proctor Factory, permission was sought to produce a special doping pattern. The scheme was commissioned because of Colonel Ruston's obsession with ancient Egyptology and the Falcon God, Horus.

WOH - Roy Brown's Sopwith Camel
WOH - Roy Brown's Sopwith Camel - In the morning of 21st April 1918, Captain Roy Brown lead a flight of six Sopwith Camels over the trenches near the French town of Vaux sur Somme. Possibly the most famous aerial engagement of all time was to take place here at an hour before noon,. Seeing a flight of twenty hostile aircraft, Brown attacked and drove away two of them. Captain Roy Brown made his Sopwith Camel dive towards the aid of one of his comrades. The other Camel pilot weaved and turned but had no height. He would perish at the guns of the blood red Fokker Triplane behind him before long. Brown maneuvered his Camel behind the Fokker and fired his guns. The red Fokker nose dived into the ground. When he landed, Brown learnt that the pilot of the Red Fokker had been Manfred Von Richthofen, The Red Barron. On seeing the body of the Great War’s greatest fighter ace, Brown is reported to have said, "If he had been my dearest friend, I could not have felt greater sorrow." WOH Sikorsky S16 Ser (Ukranian and Bolshevik versions)
WOH Sikorsky S16 Ser (Ukranian and Bolshevik versions) - The S16 was a rugged aircraft with light controls. It had a particularly sturdy undercarriage,
designed to withstand the impact of landing on the hard surfaces of the frozen
Siberian airfields. This robustness lent itself to adaptation, leading to variants that
sported skis and yet more with floats. It was constantly modified from batch to batch
and survived the Revolution. Some S16’s were operational with the Red Air Force after
Civil War.

WOH Moska MB Bis
WOH Moska MB Bis - Contrary to commonly held belief, the Moska Bystritski (MB) bis was not named
after Moscow, but was a joint product of an Italian who came to Russia in 1912,
Francesco Evgistovich Moska, , and his Russian assistant, Bystritski. To assist the relatively short range, the MB bis had wings and a tail that could be folded down to make feasible transport via road or rail to the front. There are conflicting reports about numbers built, but the figure probably lies somewhere between 50 and 90. Following the revolution in 1917, a few were used by the red air force.

WOH Sopwith Camel "Comic" Nightfighter
WOH Sopwith Camel "Comic" Nightfighter -

The Sopwith Camel “Comic” was a development based on the success of the
modified 1 ½ strutter, specifically to engage and destroy Zeppelins. It was much more effective. than previous nightfighters developed from twin seat reconnaissance aircraft. The cockpit was moved aft to prevent the gun flashes blinding the pilot’s night vision. The heavy Vickers water
cooled machine guns were removed and the characteristic hump was faired over, allowing a higher service ceiling.  Twin Lewis guns were placed over the wing top on Foster mounts which allowed movement from 0º ahead to 90º “straight up”.  Fed with Pomeroy incendiary bullets, this specialized version of the Camel saw service with home defence squadrons.

Fokker TV Medium Bomber 1/48 scale
Fokker TV Medium Bomber 1/48 scale - The Fokker T.V was the only modern Dutch bomber in service at the start of World War Two. It first flew in 1938. Sixteen were ordered, but only nine were in service by the time of the German invasion. Some of these did not even have bomb racks in place. The TV’s were used for low level bombing and strafing attacks escorted by Fokker DXXI’s or Fokker G1s. Several heroic attempts were made to destroy bridges to stem the flow of Nazi forces. The servicable aircraft were on a par with anything else that European powers could put in the air. There were just too few of them to make a difference.

with internal details, engines and weapons bay.

This updated model contains parts for four skins. Two aircraft are depicted in pre war and neutrality markings.

    Fairey Flycatcher - 48 scale
Fairey Flycatcher - 48 scale - The Fairey Flycatcher was conceived to fulfil specification 6/22 issued in 1922 for a deck landing single seat fighter to replace the ageing Nieuport Nightjar. The specification called for an aircraft which could operate as a landplane, seaplane or amphibian. The toughness and serviceability of the Flycatcher earned Fairey the contract. The Flycatcher had a mixed construction. The front of the fuselage was made of steel tube and aluminium. Traditional wood and fabric were used for wings, tail and aft of the cockpit. A "beautifully ugly" aircraft, the Flycatcher was stable in all axes, had a slow landing speed with excellent shock absorbing qualities because of its sturdy undercarriage. It's propeller could be set to create a "blue note" in a dive and gave the Flycatcher an unforgettable sound. Initial deck landing trials were conducted on HMS Argus in February 1923 and the behaviour of the aircraft was deemed to be exemplary. The Flycatcher saw service across the Empire in all theatres. The Flycatcher had superb flying characteristics which played a major part in its long and ubiquitous service. It was gradually replaced in 1932-4 by the Hawker Nimrod. A flying replica is housed at RAF Duxford Museum.

Pfalz Dr1 - The Pfalz Dr.I triplane was adapted from the Pfalz DVII biplane for entry in the First Fighter Competition at Adlershof in January 1918. Like the D.VII, it was powered by the Sh. III. The SH III engine was nearly twice as powerful as other single row rotary engines and its massive torque needed a strong airframe to soak up all the extra power.

The Pfalz DR1 kit has been mastered using 3d design software.  I'm very pleased with the final result and I'm sure you will be too.  You get two skins included in the kit for the prototype aircraft. I have retained the same style of layout with the kit and offered with it, as in all my kits, several alternative routes of completion. The model is offered in 1/32 scale and features completely redesigned Spandau machine guns and Siemens Halske SH III rotary engine.  The level of detail offered in this kit is on the very limit of what can be achieved with paper and is as close to scale as is physically possible in this medium.  The cockpit also includes a seat, pedals, instruments and a control column.  I  have included enough detail so that anyone wanting to use an A3 printer to get to 1/16th scale can do so easily just

I have also set up the model on US letter format (8.5 inch x 11 inch) and European A4 (210 x 297mm) standards.  Both formats are bundled in the kit package, so just print the one you can most easily get paper for.
